   Hello to polaroid tv parts category,

   I own a 32″ Polaroid Flat Screen HDTV Model #TLX-03210B and trying to figure out what is causing the problem that I am having with it. The problem is when I power the system, the Polaroid LOGO appears on the screen and then I get a blue screen that says “No Signal” but actual television picture. Its been working fine for the past 2 years and all of a sudden, last night it stopped working.

   I am touching bases with you because you stated that “you are ex Polaroid emplye’s and that in the past you repaired and service many Polaroid LCD tv’s.” I am crossing my fingers that you have also repaired and serviced HDTV’s.

   Note I have tried testing the coaxial cable on my other televisions and they all are working just fine. In addition, I have looked inside the back panel to identify any bad capacitors but all of them looks fine as well. I am able to select the menu button on both the television to make adjustments, channel scan and so forth but still no picture.

   What is causing this “no signal” issue?

   Please advise if polaroid tv parts are available,

   I bought a Polaroid FLM-2634B 26-Inch Widescreen LCD HDTV one year ago and I have been very happy with it. However, suddenly it stopped working. Unfortunately, the importer shop closed down at the local mall and has disappeared and could not claim my guarantee.

   I took the LCD to a local company specialized in fixing LCDs. They have checked it and have told me the problem is with the power unit (electrical unit?). Does anybody know where can I order this part? I have contacted Polaroid and have been unsuccessful. Any help will be greatly appreciated

    I have several FLM-2011 TVs that the Power Adaptors are going bad on. Do you carry the Power Adapter FSP060-1, p/n: A302-AD16A-02? If so, what would it cost to replace them? Probably looking at replacing about 50 of them.

    My brother owns a Polaroid TV Model FLM3732. It apparently was struck when lightening came in during a storm. Would it be really difficult for me to replace the power board or whatever piece it would be that got fried? I was thinking of repairing it for him for his birthday. I am not an electronic tech but I can and have done things like replaced my PC’s RAM and Hard Drive and I am quite mechanically & electrically inclined. I would need to know what piece you think would need replacement and where to purchase it. Thanks for your help…

    I am not sure wat the problem is with my tv I am hopin u will be able to assist me. I have a tlx 04240 b model. When i turn it on i have a black screen and sound. But when i look in the back of the tv there is a red flashing light and when it does try to come on there is a bright white light and it buzzes and there is also a smell with this. I am hopeful that u will be able to lead me in the right direction to my problem and thanks for taking the time to help me. Kelly

    Hi, i have a polaroid FLM-1911 and the screen went dark.. with a vague image that is still visible. I believe it to be the inverter/backlight. as the same thing happened to my laptop not to long ago.

    I am not sure what all I need to do but my son hit my polaroid TLA-04011C tv with a toy and right after that the screen turned black except where the toy hit which there are now white lines, it still has sound. I have called and asked people but they just keep telling me it would be better to just buy a new tv. If you could please help me it would be greatly appreciated.     My TLA 04011C Polaroid Flat Panel TV wont turn on. I get the blue light button on the tv but no picture or sound. When I try to turn off the tv manually it won’t turn off. I have to unplug it so that it will turn on. Even when I use the remote control it will turn on the TV, but it won’t turn it off either.HELP!!! I am told that it can be the control box but the manufacturer is telling me that it will cost me 300 dollars for them ship it to me and we can install it… I am so very upset right now. I only had the tv for only 1 year.

    I am the manager of operations and security of the Delaware Art Museum and we are non-profit organization. We own a polaroid Fm-3201 and today it was pulled off the wall by one of our guests. It seem that they broke off the back mounting bracket and crack the LCD screen. Is there anyway you can give me an idea where to get parts to fix this and how to fix.Since we are a non-profit we really cant afford to purchase a new Tv so I hoping to find someone that can help me find parts so that i can fix the tv. It is a tv in the kids area that play interactive art related programs.

    From what i’ve read the potential issue is w/ the capacitors and/or the power supply board. I would like to try replacing teh capacitors before i go into additional solutions. Do you have the capacitors for this model?

    I have a polaroid TLX-04243B, ive been toying with my issue for about a year now. When i power the TV on the Blue polaroid logo appears and then screen immeadeatly pops and picture is lost , yet the blue power indicator is still on . i have taken the back off to look for blown capacitors but was unable to find any that had malfunctioned. so i ask, how much for both boards for this unit and are they readily available for shipment. thanks and please,please respond,thank you

    i have a polaroid lcd 2000. Sometimes when the tv is on, the screen goes out but we can still hear the audio. When I unplug the tv and move it to another outlet, it comes back on. Is there a replacement part that will fix this, and if so, do you have one?

    I think I need capacitors for my 5 year old 20″ Polaroid FLM 2011. It will not come on: see the blue light, hear a high pitched sound, see the ‘POLAROID’ startup flash, then see blank screen while blue dot and high pitched sound continue. The tv had been having start-up probs for a while before it completely went out today. The manual does not list the part # but through research I came across 10UF 450V. Is this the correct part #? Do you have it and how much is it? I hope it’s fixable.

    Hi,
    I have a Polaroid 42″ LCD TV (TLX-04244B). The led of the TV stays blue when I turn it on but no light in the screen whatsoever. it was showing the Polaroid startup image and it had sound before but not anymore.
    Do you think a need a power supply? if so, how much? the power supply says on the board IPO42V5 v1.5
    I couldnt find one online so is there an alternative power supply I can get?

    im looking for a “control box” for a tda-03211c i believe the spacific part that is broken is part # 860-azo-ipos150h
    when i turn on my TV it will show the word polaroid then it goes black. seems to be a common issue by my research. polaroid will replace it for 250 up front then refund me 100 for a “recycling credit” but im trying to get it cheeper.

     Have a TLX-04240b,
     the tv went to black screen and power light was still blue and had audio (POLAROID logo would flash on then off). As per some misc. info. flipped BURN micro sw.to ON and tv played for almost 24 hrs. Now there is no POLAROID logo coming on even though i see a faint backlight on for a second or two. Do i need a power supply/inverter board for my TLX-04240b or is there some components to test and/or replace. The power/inverter bd. part # is 860-AZ0-IPOS250H,if needed,do you have a price/availability for it?

     I have a TV/DVD combo that recently fell down. The sound is ok and dvd player still works. The inner screen is cracked on one side and there is a raindow of vertical colors on the other side. Do you have an LCD panel for the FXM2611C model? Will this fix the vertical lines as well?

     I have a Polaroid FLM-4034B 40″ LCD TV that I purchased in 2006. For some reason when I watch any HD channels (using HDMI) the screen moves and pops. It makes a really loud screeching noise out of the speakers even though I have the volume set to 0 on the TV. It is fine when I watch standard definition. I had to a repair shop when it quit working a few years ago with similar issues and they said they had to replace the “mother board”. That time the TV would do nothing though. It is very odd. Is this something I can try and fix on my own? Also, I have taken it off of the wall and need a base. Do you have a base?

     Hello,

     Element FLX-3710 once connected to the power outlet, the red light indicator works, but it would not turn blue when the tv turns on, the TV does not turn on and the red light remains red as in stand by. It happened after I disconnected the VGA cable from my computer as I was using the TV as monitor.

     Hi, My name is Javier and I have a Polaroid FLM 3732. I am hoping to fix it somehow. My grandmother gave me the tv and she said it just stopped working. I plug it up and the blue light comes on but after that I cannot turn it off unless I unplug it. Also when I hit the power button and only the blue light comes on, I cannot use any features, or any buttons on the side, nothing does anything. I don’t get any thing to come on the screen either. People say it could be some capacitors. How much to replace the silver box in the back of it. It seems like the main control box and maybe it would be just easier to replace that.

     Dear Polaroid Tech Assistance,

     I have a 42″ Polaroid LCD TV, Model # TLX – 04244 B, which I purchased in November 2008.
     After only 1 year, the tv started with the lines across the whole screen, and bouncy lines across and everywhere. Sometimes it even gets dark with the bouncy squiggly lines, completely distorted picture. You can’t even watch it, it is so bad, it will make you dizzy. But you can still hear it.
     We finally unplugged it tonight, after a year of that, and now I need to know if you can tell me what the heck is wrong with it, and I can try to go from there. Any assistance would be much appreciated, or if anyone is having the same problem, would be great to hear from you too. I believe this tv should have lasted a lot longer than it did……

     I have a 40″ LCD FLM-4034B. I plugged an avg cable into it to hook the laptop up and the screen went blank. The light for the power comes on but nothing on the screen. I asked a tv tech over the phone and he had said it might be the control board. Any suggestions about the issue and parts I need?

     Hi,
     I got a Poloroid 37″ LCD from my neighbor that has the screen blacking out after it was on. I thought I might be lucky and have the problem in the videos above. I opened up the TV to find the two caps shown in the video have blown. So I went and got a few 1000 uF 35watt caps and replaced them using the videos above as a tutorial and now all works great!

     I have a TLX 04244 B and they tv would not display an image at all, except after turned on the Polaroid logo flashes then goes to black screen. I found a replacement power supply which didn’t fix the problem. I was wondering if you could help me in figuring out what the problem is, and if there is a specific part that would fix it.      Have a FLM-3201. Cannot get power to the set. When using the remote, only the red light appears and then goes away. Reconnected the power cord a few times and it actually worked once and the picture held until turned off TV. Next morning, still had same problems. Reconnected the power cord but no luck this time.

     Wondering if there is a short in the power cord or problems with the power supply. Considering purchasing a new set since this is 10 years old but if there is an economical fix would consider that.

     I am not sure what all I need to do but my son hit my polaroid TLA-04011C tv with a sippy cup and right after that the screen turned black except where the toy hit which there are now white lines, it still has sound. I have called and asked people but they just keep telling me it would be better to just buy a new tv. If you could please help me it would be greatly appreciated.      HI,
     I have an flm 3701, we unplugged it, to move it. Now it wont turn on at all, no stand bye lights or anything. I took out the power supply board. Should I get a new power supply board? How can I get one from you? Ive seen other sites with power supply boards for flm 3701 but their pictures arent similar to the one I have. Sopme of the Caps seem bad but Im not sure if trying to replace them will fix the problem, could it be a fuse? I cant find the fuses or I cant see anything like a blown fuse or browned part of the Circuit board. There is a sticker on the supply board that says KAS200-5S241812xl is this the part number?
     Can someone give me some advice?

     It should be mentioned that these capacitors are rated at either 85 degrees C or 105 degrees C depending on how they are used. In a switched mode power supply such as this, you should be using the 105 degree caps, 1000 uF 35 volt for a lasting repair.
     I am currently working on a Polaroid FLM-3732 model 3700 that was given to me by a friend that had ordered and replaced the main module twice through Polaroid. His original problem was lines in the picture and each replacement module gave a symptom of the power light goes from red to blue, but no sound or picture came on the screen. No on screen display or menu can be seen, and it does not seem like the backlight even comes on. I have opened the “remanufactured” module and seen where the caps have already been changed, and all fuses I could find check good. Has anyone found other parts bad causing this same symptom?

     My FLM-3701 won’t turn on anymore after we relocated it. i opened back panel and saw 6 buldging caps (680uF 35V 105*c). I replaced them with new ones with the same ratings but still it won’t turn on. I think the 5VDC standby power is down. Do you have any suggestion on this and if I need to replace it do you have the power supply board (KAS200-5S241812XL VER A1.5)?

     When the tv was turned on. The screen would go to a greenish color with a very high pitched sound. You had no control over the sound and couldn’t turn the tv off. We had to unplug the tv to stop the noise, the tv reset itself after we plugged it in again and then it did it again about 5 to 10 minutes later! The tv did have a great picture before it went wacky as described above . Do you have any idea what we need to do to fix this tv?

     hello there,

     i have a flm-3732, it wont turn on, however the red power light will turn blue but no images or sound come out of the unit itself. The only way to turn it off is by unplugging the power chord. I have next to no knowlege on tv repair, but doing a little research i came to the conclusion that the “Contro Box” is going out on my unit. Could you guys help clarify if im on the right track?? and also, do you guys know where i may accuire the needed parts??

     I have a TDA-03211C and last night the screen when black, but sound still works. Turned it off, unplugged it, plugged it back in, turned it on, Polaroid logo was very faint, no picture, turned it off, back on and then no logo at all. I have the back open, but don’t seem to find a bad capacitor, but I may be missing something. D13 light is blinking. Any suggestions?

     Found you from Google search. I have a polaroid model 2700 product FLM2632. I have NO picture but have sound. Just need confirmation that it is the bulb.      My TLX04240B comes on normal then after 10 to 20 minutes the screen goes black but the sound remains on. Then I must reboot the tv and the same thing repeats. On 10/6/08 a tech from service pro replaced a video board for the same problem. He got the wrong revision number and had to come back a second time with the correct board. It has worked fine until 7/11/11. It may still be under a 5 year warranty from walmart but I don’t have evidence of that. I am a retired tech and engineer, so I can use test point with my digital meter, just tell me where to probe. The power supply has a large capacitor 220 mf 450 wdc . It has a black plastic disk on the top that depresses when I push on it. I cannot tell if it is really bulging all other cap look normal. Serial number is KR7G7186730014439 made October 2007

     I have a 32in polaroid model# tlx-03210b when I would turn it on I had a dark spot in the center of screen and after 3-5 seconds it would go black but it still has sound. I found 1 capasitor bad just like shown in your video and replaced it with the same one in your video from radio shack(1000uf 35v.) when I turn the tv on now it imediatly has a black screen. It no longer shows a dark picture for a few seconds. I only replaced 1 capasitor so currently it has 1 original 1000uf 10v. and 1 1000uf 35v. Can you help me troubleshoot this problem, please?
     After looking at the old capasitor I realized it says 10uf 450v.. I will try replacing the 1000uf 35v. with a 10uf 450v. if I can find one.

     Hi, I have a polaroid tv that will no longer turn on. It is not that old. We don’t use it enough for it to be a bulb. When we turn it on the red button turns to blue but then that blue light flickers and fades away and comes back. The tv screen never changes from a black screen.      I am wondering what DVD deck unit is used in the Polaroid TDA-03211C and what can I use to replace it if it is bad? First have to replace For reference of how I fixed it I replaced
     2 10uf 450v Capacitors (EC17, EC18)
     2 FQPF9N50CF Transistors (Q16,Q17)
     and a 3.15 amp fuse (F2) and it should work hopefully.
     Also I was reading on other sites and from info from repair guys in my area that the heat sinks on these tvs are too small for the temps the unit reaches… any ideas on how to add a fan or better heat sinks?

     how do I get the “audio out” on the back of the tv to work with my surround sound so I can have the surround sound to watch cable television? The tv is a 32″ FLM-3232.      I have a FLM2011 the red light stays on but when u turn on the tv the blue light comes on for a second ans then goes back to red and the tv doesn’t come on at all I took it all apart no screen or sound controls conected and stil the same thing happens I think I need to replacxe the whole board but where can I find the part number? And is it available? When i take a voltage reading is a steady 12 v and when I push the on button the voltage drops down to 5v is this caused by a short? And where could it be? (please note that the whole board is off the tv.

     Hi, I have a polaroid TLA-01511C Tv. When you turn it on the picture comes on with sound, after about 30 seconds the picture goes off and the sound stays on. I have tried 3 power supply boards and none correct the problem. When the picture goes off if you shine a flashlight at the screen you can see that the LCD is still working meaning the picture is still there but no backlight. There are only two other parts, the main board and the backlight assembly itself. What do you recommend?

     I was hoping someone may help me that has experienced a similar problem as I am having. I have a TLA-04641C and when i turn it on, it will click once and the red light on the front comes on and just stays on. It does not blink or anything.
     I replaced the power board because i read something that indicated that as a possible problem, and i also changed the fuse where the power cord goes into the tv. The screen through all of this is just black. Also, there are no capacitors that show visual marks of being blown.
     I was wanting to see if anyone could give me some direction on what to do next with thing.

     I have a polaroid Model #TLX-04011C. For a few minutes after turning it on it works fine, then s strip appears in the center of the screen. A couple of minutes later the right half of the screen turns blue. The left half looks great. Then after awhile the right side of the screen gets vertical strips all through it.      Hi, I have a tla-04641c model which initially would not turn on. Since then, I have replaced the power supply board as well as the main board. Now the tv will turn on, however no image appears on the screen. The screen is on because is becomes a lighter shade of black. Also, there is no sound when turning on.
     Could you please be of assistance as to what the problem might be.

     It is easier to write your needs to Santa. Placing your request here is like shouting at a deaf person. No one that started this site has ever supplied any parts to anyone. Ever! If you own a Polaroid and need a part, good luck. Whatever you do, don’t go to Sears. They say they have a ????? and ship something entirely different. Then you struggle for weeks to get a refund and . Good Luck on that too. Polaroid has been out of business for years. Finding parts is getting harder. One thought, try a state sponsored recycle center. You might get lucky. You might even find a polaroid tv like yours. lol! I thought the built-in dvd player was awesome but found a stand alone from pioneer that literally will play ANY dvd from anywhere in the world for $189.00 USD. The TV/DVD combo units today bundle cheap $30.00USD dvd players in $200.00 TV’s and charge a premium for the combo. Buy separate and save the money. POLOAROID IS DEAD!

     I have a Polaroid 32″ TDA-03211C with the DVD. The power came on but the screen did not show, I replaced the two bad capacitors (10uf 450v with the same 10uf 450v capacitors).      Hi,
     We have a Poloroid FLM 2601 26″ Flat screen tv.
     Bought about 5 yrs ago and it has pretty much sat in an extra guest room…minimally used over the years. Worked fine until recently, it was brought up to use in another room…when it was turned on, theer was crackling popping noise with the audio messed up…after about 20 minutes or so..it cleared up.
     Again, after a couple weeks of non-usage…it did the same thing and cleared up.
     I see that there is a class action for fire hazards but alos understand it can be fixed by replacing cacpacitors.
     I saw your You Tube…and my husband is an electrical engineer..
     but we need to know which capacitor to replace and he says we need a schematic?
     Can you help us, and let us know which one needs replacing and also do you carry these parts and schematics?

     I have a FLM3732 that started buzzing with lines across the screen when turned on for a couple minutes. I replaced three caps that were bad (bulging) on the power board. The lines are no longer there upon start up, but there is no sound out of speakers. The headphone jack works. Do you have an electrical schematic for this tv and reason for no sound out of speakers (which component(s) to check), but headphones work?

     I have a tlx 04244b that when turned on the polaroid logo will appear then the backlights shut off, i can see a picture if i shine a light at the screen and the volume works.
     I have taken the back off and cant see any bulged caps, I have 5 volts standby and when i turn it on i get the 24 volts to the inverters but i notice the 12 volts will read 12.84 at first but then will drop to 11.89 when the backlights go off. Any suggestions?

     I have a TLX-04244b that when turned on the blue light flashes but have a black unlit screen…no change with any input request…just the flashing light…

     I accidentally ( 200 ms ) over volted an HDMI splitter that had this TV on (on another input) and still plugged into in paralell…

     I have taken the back off and cant see any bulged caps and when i turn it on i get the 24 volts to the inverters and nearly everywhere else , 12 volts fine. Any suggestions?

     I have a tlac-02255 that turned on when it was cold but then when it was plugged in for a while it would not turn on. I thought it would be caps and went in and changed some and then checked all the voltages for noise and everything looks perfect.      I have a TLA0911C POLAROID TV that suddenly quit working. I get a yellow light and a blue light. When the blue light comes on the screen sometimes “blinks” quickly. It was working great and the screen went black. The remote seems okay but there are no lights on it for me to even tell if it is working properly. I would love to get it repaired – the picture on this tv is better than my new “big screen”. I contacted a repair shop and they said it would be $65.00 to look at it but that would go toward repair. I have had the television for a few years…it is a 2007 according to the back. Could you fix it, or tell me how or what to do? Also, is sending it to a shop a waste of time?      Sharman J. Yours is the backlight power supply when it blinks like that it means that everything is working but that the bulbs that pass through the image so that You can see it are not working. Often it is caps swollen or hv caps that have failed.

     As for mine I found that there is no 1.3v power for the micro and also there is three inductors that select which power is used and regulated down to run the board. L46, L42, L41 If L46 is selected then 5volts is regulated to 3.5 and then used to produce the other voltages needed. But I found that the 1.3 v regulator and other regulators next to the microprocessor are all not getting voltage. I am looking for where the power breakdown exists and I believe that the voltage selection circuit is where the malfunction lies.
